PC players will be able to finally get their hands on Access Games' time-travelling episodic video game "D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die" less than a month from now. Initially available exclusively on Xbox One, the bizarre episodic game will become available for Windows players starting June 5. It can be downloaded through Steam, Humble Store, Playism, and GOG sites for just US$14.99. 

The news about the PC release was announced by the "D4" creator himself, Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro, through his Twitter account. 

Polygon mentioned that although bringing the game to PC is an expected move, Swery had a hard time deciding whether bringing "D4" to a wider audience would be a good choice. 

"Microsoft is the one who gave me the chance to make D4 in the very beginning," Swery carefully explained without putting the blame on the publisher for the game's dismal start. "Of course from there I started to get lots of messages from fans on Twitter and Facebook who didn't have Xbox Ones and wanted to play it. From that point, for a long time, I was thinking about what was the best way to get most people a chance to play D4." 

The game focuses on private investigator David Young who discovers the events that happened when his wife was brutally murdered. Its bizarre plot and gameplay earned recognition from a lot of video game award-giving bodies, including: Best Adventure Game and Best New Character of 2014 at PRESS PLAY TV's Game of the Year; Fan Favorite Game of the Year at Gamerheadquarters' Video Game Awards 2014; Best Indie/Arcade Game and Best use of Kinect at Xbox Game ON's Game of the Year Awards; as well as Digital Game of the Year at Gamerheadquarters' Video Game Awards 2014. 

Aside from "D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die," Swery is also responsible of the cult-favorite "Deadly Premonition" released in 2013.
