It seems that the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actress, Daisy Ridley, is trying to avoid being typecast for her role in the beloved space epic. It has been recently confirmed that apart from her "Star Wars" commitments, she will also be lending her acting chops to a brand new Netflix project, which is set to be a comedy with a story that involves super heroes. Slated to star alongside Ridley is American actor, Josh Gad, who will be the main protagonist.

In a report by Looper, it is not yet certain as of now whether the Netflix project will be a series or a movie. All that is known so far is that the project is titled "Super-Normal," and given Gad's previous stints in movies, he will be delivering a humorous portrayal of his character. Gad will also be producing the project, along with co-producer, Dan Lin. Lin has previously produced the Netflix version of "Death Note."

Luke Evans, known mostly for his previous appearance in "The Girl on the Train" will also be part of the Netflix project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, some of the script-writers for the Disney film "Moana," Aaron and Jordan Kandell, will be in charge of the script for "Super-Normal." If this is the case, it is safe to assume that the script will be friendly for children or adolescents. However, given the scarcity of the details so far, this may not be the case.

As it turns out, Netflix was not the only company that was interested in the project. According to Engadget, Disney also tried to get their hands on the project with Gad and Ridley tied to the project. However, Netflix succeeded in outbidding Disney. The project is set to be a "character-driven" one, which means that audiences should not just expect flashy action sequences that people have gotten accustomed to in the superhero genre.
