The Dallas Cowboys has not made any big offseason moves or additions so far but recently tried to create some impact in their running back department releasing undrafted free agent Synjyn Days and signing 2014 sixth-round pick Lache Seastrunk.

The former Baylor standout was drafted by the Washington Redskins as the 186th overall pick and signed a four-year, $2.33 million pact.

Unfortunately, he was cut early as the Redskins waived him on August 30.

The 23-year-old lost the third-string running back position to undrafted co-rookie Silas Redd and was no longer given another chance by Washington as he was not signed to the practice squad.

Seastrunk later joined the Carolina Panthers' practice squad on September 16, 2015 but was released nine days after.

His longest stay with an NFL team happened when he became part of the Tennessee Titans' practice squad last October and even inked a futures contract back in December but was waived on May 18, 2015.

Despite not having a chance to play in even one NFL regular season game, Seastrunk can help the Cowboys during practice this offseason and might finally do enough to impress and make the cut.

In college, Seastrunk transferred to Baylor after spending his freshman year at Oregon and played two years with the Bears where he ran for 2,189 yards scoring 18 touchdowns, ESPN reported.

According also to ESPN's report, the departure of two-time Pro Bowler DeMarco Murray placed the Cowboys' running back status under the spotlight.

Since Murray left, Dallas has not addressed his departure by signing an established replacement and instead inked Seastrunk.

Seastrunk will join Darren McFadden, Ryan Williams and Lance Dunbar at the running back position for the Cowboys.

Although McFadden, who signed a two-year deal with a $200,000 signing bonus, and Williams are battling injuries.

McFadden has a hamstring strain while Williams is with a sore knee, ESPN reported.

The Cowboys started the third week of their organized team activities Tuesday and will have their mandatory minicamp next week, the team reported on their website.
