Dallas Cowboys trade, roster rumors 2017: Cowboys still updating 2017 roster

The 2017 National Football League draft has come and gone, and teams have had their chance to fill the gaps in their lineup. With 28th pick, were the Dallas Cowboys able to get the players of their choosing?

The Cowboys have addressed the major issues. However, according to a statement from the Cowboys, the team is not quite done with their roster. The team is still polishing their lineup, and they have indicated that more move, although minor, will be observed in the weeks to come up until training camp. One of these moves is the signing of three undrafted agents. This will take place before next weekend's minicamp.

During the 2017 NFL draft, the team eyed versatile players, like Byron Jones, who can play multiple spots. Flexible players such as Jones will be an ideal solution for injuries. Three of the four players the Cowboys have drafted are able to play multiple spots. Chidobe Auwize used to play outside corner, inside corner, safety, and outside linebacker at Colorado. Jouran Lewis used to play inside and outside corner at Michigan. Meanwhile, Xavier Woods used to play center field and down in the box for Louisiana Tech.

Everyone thought the Cowboys will be fixed on choosing Jason Witten's successor; however, they were not able to do so since they focused on strengthening the team's defense instead. Given that the Cowboys continue to make changes to their roster, reports believe that this offseason, the team could pick Gary Barnidge. The player will be a great addition to the team's offense.

In the past two seasons, Barnidge has recorded 1,600 yards and 11 touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns. With the Cowboys' far better offense, Barnidge could make even better stats this season.

More updates should arrive soon. Stay tuned.
