The Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins will clash on Sunday in Week 2 of the NFL 2016 regular season, and both teams will be desperate to claim the win today in this all NFC East clash. The game has a scheduled start time of 1 p.m. ET and takes place from FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. Both teams lost in Week 1 and both will be hoping to avoid the disaster that is opening a new season 0-2. Another loss here for either team will already put them with a huge amount of catch up work to do before the season has even really gotten underway yet.

The Cowboys suffered a tough-to-take one point loss against the New York Giants last week in front of their home fans at the AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys led going into the final quarter, having fought their way back in the third quarter. However, they allowed things to slip away in the final quarter to leave players and fans hugely disappointed.

The Redskins on the other hand were well beaten last week, suffering a 16-38 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many of the Redskins frailties were harshly exposed and the Washington team looks like it could be extremely vulnerable going on this season. They will be hoping to turn things around in a big way this week on both sides of the ball, and if they do manage to claim a win today against their division rivals, it would give a huge and much-needed boost of confidence for the Redskins' roster.

Earlier this week on Thursday Night Football the New York Jets achieved their first win of the season as they defeated their in-state rivals, the Buffalo Bills 37-31.

The Jets had opened up their season with a disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, where they looked like they were still in pre-season. However, the Jets woke up on Thursday night, and put on a much more explosive display.

Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick completed an impressive 24 of 34 passes for 374 yards as he took apart the Bills' secondary with the help of wide receivers Eric Decker, Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa.

Decker put on a stellar performance with six catches and a touchdown, and moved to 18 straight games recording at least 80 receiving yards or a touchdown.

Marshall meanwhile also had a fantastic game, recording six catches for 101 yards. He did give the Jets a scare in the second quarter when he went down with a knee injury. Marshall made a 15 yard reception but went down under Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Marshall was down on the field for several minutes.

Marshall said after the game: "I thought I was done. I thought I was going to be finishing in my backyard in Florida."

However, even though he departed the field with the help of trainers, he returned to the game and continued to tease the Bills' defense.

Fitzpatrick later said, "Brandon is one of the tougher guys you'll ever see. They were looking at his knee, and I didn't think it was good. To see him on the ground in pain, I knew something was wrong. But then, when he stepped back in the huddle later on, it was a big surprise, but relief as well."

Tyrod Taylor tried to get the Bills offense going, and completed 18 of 30 for 297 yards and three touchdowns, however, Buffalo were just too inconsistent throughout the night and lacked efficiency in their play.
