Dallas Mavericks NBA 2015 trade news: Could Jeremy Lin fit in with Dallas?

Jeremy Lin has started getting himself back into game shape though there is no guarantee that he has a sure team in the coming NBA season. But hoping for the best, Lin has a good chance of hooking up with any NBA team provided of course he agrees to a pay cut.

Lin is not expected to return for the Lakers and there have already been a couple of teams linked to the Asian-American standout from Harvard. That includes the Denver Nuggets and Lin's former team, the Houston Rockets.

A stint with the Nuggets could largely depend on two factors. One is the fate of Ty Lawson and the other is who the next head coach will be. Mike D' Antoni is reportedly among the final candidates for the jead coaching position and everyone knows how Lin and D'Antoni marveled when both were still with the New York Knicks.

For the Rockets, Kevin McHale is sorely in need of a reliable point guard. With Patrick Beverly out due to injury, a gaping hole in the backcourt was something that the Rockets had to deal with. And moving forward, one of the positions the Rockets are looking to fill up is that void but of course for lesser money.

A third team could be the Dallas Mavericks. With Rajon Rondo on the way out and no clue on whether Monta Ellis would be sticking around, Lin could be a good acquisition to a team some call a team of misfits.

That of course probably refers to the wild acquisition of personnel that Mark Cuban has been doing, most of which are on short-term deals.

Lin could fit in with the Mavs' needs but like other teams, a big pay cut will be required.

To sum it all up, if Lin agrees to less money then he will likely hook up with any NBA team in need of a proven guard. But of course, that includes low-ballers when it comes to salary negotiations.
