After a stellar win in the Sheer Talent Dance Competition, which will apparently be the center of the "Dance Moms" season 6 premiere, the Abby Lee Dance Crew is off to a new match. But word is that the group's overall performance there was inferior compared to the first one.

ALDC has filmed the second episode for the season, which sees the group gracing the the New York Dance Experience in Calabasas, California. Reports say that while their group dance routine "Hungry Like the Wolves" snagged them the top spot in the senior division, the team only placed second overall.

The solo performances suffered the same fate. For the second competition of the girls in "Dance Moms" season 6, Kendall Vertes, Mackenzie Ziegler and Nia Frazer represented the team in different categories.

Kendall failed to win the top spot in the junior division with her contemporary/lyrical routine "In the Mirror" and ended up in third place. Nia was close to winning the teen division with her rendition of "Feeling Me." She channelled her inner "Cookie" from Empire and finished second.

Maddie's little sister Mackenzie performed an acrobatic jazz routine for "I Just Want to Stay Home and Eat Chips," inspired by her quotable quote in season 1 of "Dance Moms." The performance had her land the fourth spot.

There remains no info about Maddie's participation in this "Dance Moms" season 6 episode. In the first competition, she was allegedly out to film the upcoming Colin Trevorrow movie "The Book of Henry."

Meanwhile, in the midst of reports about Abby Lee Miller being facing charges in court for bankruptcy fraud charges, the dance instructor was spotted in the event. The reality star even shared her excitement about seeing the youngsters perform in social media.

"Dance Moms" season 6 has no release date locked in yet but it is expected to premiere sometime next year.
