'Dance Moms' season 6: Abby Lee Miller to be absent from the series?

Production for "Dance Moms" season 6 is ongoing. At the moment, eight episodes have already been filmed and dance instructor Abby Lee Miller seems to be present in all of them as she shows her full support to her dance crew.

However, Miller recently opened up about her possible absence in "Dance Moms" season 6 following a feud with one of the show's producer. "If I've gone missing from a few episodes in Season 6, don't believe anything anybody says," Miller said, as quoted by Deadline.

Miller emphasized that whoever this producer is, he is forcing her to make a different version of reality. "When a grown man tells me he wants one of my kids to portray a pregnant teen and wear a baby bump — I have to put my foot down," she explained.

The "Dance Moms" season 6 host maintained that she is sticking by her decision no matter how grave the consequences it will have on her career and her involvement in the Lifetime series because her sole priority is "to protect my girls."

She reiterated that her less screen time in the upcoming is solely due to her dispute with this unnamed producer, although media outlets believe that the fraud accusations have something to do with that and are now taking much more of her time than they ever did.

Miller's legal issues involving 20 counts of fraud are putting her on the brink of a five-year incarceration and $5 million worth of fine. She attempted to put this issue on ice but reports suggest that the legal battles are taking their toll.

Just recently, Miller and the Abby Lee Dance Crew dominated the Dream NDC event in San Diego, California. The event will be the center of the eight episode of "Dance Moms" season 6 and marks the official return of Maddie Ziegler, fresh from the wrap-up of the filming of "The Book of Henry."

"Dance Moms" season 6 premieres Jan. 5 on Lifetime.
