"Dance Moms" has just ended its fifth season, its longest season to date with more than 30 episodes which ran from Jan. 6 to Aug. 18. And while fans of the reality series can't wait for the new season to begin, there have been concerns that two of the show's biggest cast members — star dancer Maddie Ziegler, 12, and dance coach Abby Lee Miller — won't be returning in season 6.

While filming season 5, Maddie had been busy with other commitments as she filmed two new music videos with Sia, guest-starred in an episode of "Pretty Little Liars," and even modeled for Capezio's Betsey Johnson collaboration.
With her ever-growing list of projects, it is unclear if Maddie will be back on the show.

She previously told MTV Australia, "We just finished Season 5 and I'm not sure what's going to happen for season 6. I don't know if I'm going to do it or not, so it just depends."

The star also told the website that she wants to do more acting and has been auditioning "a lot" for various roles. Recently, it was reported that the 12-year old will be starring in a film called "Sister" to be directed by Sia.

Meanwhile, International Business Times reported that Abby Lee Miller has yet to confirm her return to the show. In an interview on AfterBuzz, executive producer Jeff Collins mentioned that filming for season 6 will take place at Abby's new studio in L.A. but did not confirm her return.

It appears that the dance studio owner is still involved in the show as she took to Instagram last month to post an audition notice for season 6. The post specified that the show is looking for dancers "who feel they have what it takes to train and compete under the direction of Abby Lee Miller." Although it is still unclear whether she'll be back, it looks like Abby will still be on "Dance Moms" in some capacity when it returns for season 6.
