'Dance Moms' season 7 cast news: Maddie Ziegler not returning; Series cancelled?

Lifetime

"Dance Moms" season 7 has premiered and without some of its stars such as Chloe Lukasiak, Nia Sioux Frazier and the Ziegler sisters. According to Vine Report, it is very unlikely Maddie Ziegler will be making a return throughout season 7 due to other commitments.

Fans of the show will recall that Ziegler left the show after season 6 due to ongoing conflicts with coach and host Abby Lee Miller, who made it clear she was not comfortable with Ziegler finding success outside of "Dance Moms."

Ziegler is stated to be too busy to make a cameo appearance or short comeback given she is now a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation" and is also filming for the upcoming film "The Book of Henry." She is also joining Sia, famous pop singer, for the latter's ongoing music tour.

The trailer for season 7, which was shared on Twitter, reveals Miller looking for the next Maddie Ziegler as she hopes of finding a dancer just as good if not better. However, the premiere episode already revealed that the chances of doing so are very slim at this point and the series is facing the possibility of cancellation.

Miller is facing multiple charges of fraud and tax evasion and according to the report she did plead guilty of hiding over $775,000 of her income. Her current sentencing schedule had been pushed back from Oct. 11 to Dec. 2 and this will give Miller more time to keep the show on the air for the time being.

However, fans speculate that if Miller goes behind bars and season 7 fails to find success without a replacement for its former star dancers like Maddie Ziegler then this may as well be the final season for the show.

During an interview with "Allegedly with Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss" (via Movie News Guide), Miller did reveal she was terrified of what the court might sentence her with, particularly because she will have to pay a large sum fee along with staying in prison for a period of time.
