Fans of Lifetime's reality television series "Dance Moms" are hopeful that the show will be renewed for season 8. The seventh season ended on Oct. 24 with a total of 29 episodes, 2 special episodes included. Lifetime has not announced any update if the show will be renewed or canceled.

According to reports, many fans of the show were worried that the show will not be renewed due to Abby Lee Miller's departure. Miller exited the show in the middle of season 7. She had been with the "Dance Moms" series since its first season back in 2011.

Despite Miller leaving the show, "Dance Moms" aired an episode to highlight Miller's contribution to the series. The 28th episode of season 7, titled "Abby's Last Dance," featured Miller's best and worst moments on the show. The episode also presented information about her surgery and some unseen footages of the dance instructor. The Abby Lee Dance Company's instructor also shared her inspiration for dancing and teaching others the art of dance.

Dancing and television personality Cheryl Burke picked up the torch and made her "Dance Moms'" debut on Oct. 17. Burke first appeared in the 25th episode of the show titled "Everyone's Replaceable... Even Abby." Burke became the new coach of The Irreplaceables dance group.

Many fans and critics agree that the show has a lot more to offer with a new season. According to Show Buzz Daily, the final episode generated the lowest number of audience with only .31 million viewers.

"Dance Moms" also received low score ratings from a few critics. The show got a 4.6 out of 10 score from IMDb, 2.4 out of 5 from Common Sense Media, and 54 percent score rating from Metacritic.

Season 8 is yet to be confirmed by Lifetime and if Miller will come back after resolving fraud charges against her.
