Last week, Kim Zolciak suffered a mini stroke after her live performance on Tuesday on "Dancing with the Stars." The reality star was hospitalized in Atlanta for two days and was released on Friday.

Throughout her hospital stay, Zolciak updated her fans about her condition and remained hopeful that she would be able to make it back to the dance floor to compete for this season's Mirror Ball trophy.

But on Monday, Zolciak wasn't able to compete and was not at the ABC studio where the dancing competition was being aired live. In a Skype interview, which was broadcast on the show, the 37-year old told viewers that her doctor did not clear her to fly. The star was still in Atlanta while the show aired from Los Angeles.

Tom Bergeron then said that following "DWTS" rules, since Zolciak couldn't dance because of medical reasons, she had to be eliminated from the competition.

Shortly after, the Bravo star took to Instagram to post a video of her rehearsing with her partner Tony Dovolani. She captioned the video, "I practiced for hours Saturday I was so excited to be there tonight! I just needed a few more days and then I'm cleared to fly! #ImReallySad #ImStrong."

Determined to return to the show, Zolciak started an online petition to allow her and Dovolani to compete again on "DWTS."
Posting a photo of her and Dovolani, she wrote, "Sign this petition to bring me and @tonydovolani back."

Zolciak revealed that she was cleared by her doctor on Friday to dance and was already rehearsing Saturday morning.

"I had no restrictions BUT flying until today," she added. The star said that she wanted to dance in Atlanta via satellite and clarified that she can dance but "just couldn't fly."

Zolciak posted a link where fans can sign the petition. The page reads, "We want 'Dancing with the Stars' to bring back Kim and Tony!! Kim had a health issue that prevented her from dancing! Give them a second shot!"

As of today, more than 18,000 fans have signed the online petition.
