"Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS) season 21 will surely be filled with interesting contestants. The latest addition, based on reports, is former Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.

Nick Carter told Us Weekly that he decided to join season 21 of the dance show after being given the offer for four years straight. Now, the fifth offer has been accepted and Carter is even excited to be on the show.

And ironically, it was Joey Fatone, a former member of BSB's rival 'N Sync, who talked him into joining.

According to Carter, Fatone advised him that being in the show will be a "great experience" and that he will learn many things from it.

Carter also admitted that he has a competitive personality. Knowing that his little brother Aaron joined back in season 9, he decided to join to represent the family and perform better than Aaron did.

Carter may have been a member of a boy band, but he never saw himself as an excellent dancer. He hopes that by joining the show, it will help him develop his dancing abilities.

The 35-year-old singer is the newest contestant to join the lineup including "Real Housewives of Atlanta's" Kim Zolciak, Triple Crown winner Victor Espinoza, and animal activist Bindi Irwin.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Irwin made the announcement in "Good Morning America" and she was the first celebrity to be confirmed a contestant for DWTS.

According to the late Steve Irwin's daughter, dancing is something new to her. She said during the show, according to Us Weekly, "This is completely different to anything I've ever done in my life, I'm used to wrangling crocodiles!"

ABC has been continuing the announcement on the celebrities set to join season 21. The network is expected to reveal the full lineup by Sept. 2.

"Dancing With the Stars" season 21 returns on ABC with new episodes on Sept. 14, 8 p.m. ET.
