"Dancing With the Stars" season 21 has a new batch of contestants coming to compete for this year's Mirror Ball trophy. Recently, it was announced that Andy Grammer will be one of the celebrity competitors. His inclusion isn't much of a surprise, however, as the singer-songwriter was long-rumored to be part of the show this season.

ABC made Grammer's participation official via Twitter. The "Honey, I'm Good" singer quickly followed up the announcement by posting a video, where he declared, "[The] rumors are true. I'm doing 'Dancing With the Stars'!"

Grammer is the eighth confirmed celebrity contestant for "Dancing With the Stars" season 21. He follows Bindi Irwin, Victor Espinoza, Nick Carter, Hayes Grier, Alexa Vega, Carlos Pena Jr. and Chaka Khan, who will all be gracing the "DWTS" stage.

Grammer previously stated that he was supposed to be paired up with Petra Murgatroyd but the pro dancer won't be dancing this season because of a leg injury.

Confirmed pros joining the dance party are Derek Hough, Val Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff. The complete list of celebrities and dance professionals set to compete in the upcoming season will be revealed in "Good Morning, America" on Sept. 2.

There are speculations that this list might include "The Bachelorette" star Kaitlyn Bristowe, who happens to be a dance instructor. However, fans wouldn't want to get their hopes up. A source told E! Online that "the timing isn't right." While it's unlikely that she will join this season, the insider said that Kaitlyn "loves the show and hopes to keep the door open for another season down the road."

In line with this news, word on the street is that Nick Viall, the runner-up in Kaitlyn's recently concluded "The Bachelorette" season will be the one to get his ballroom shoes ready for "Dancing With the Stars" season 21. This remains uncorroborated though.

The latest alum of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" to become a contestant in the dance competition is Chris Soules, who joined last season but failed to take home the trophy.

"Dancing With the Stars" season 21 premieres Sept. 14.
