Jodie Sweetin has signed up to be included in the latest roster of celebrity contestants for "Dancing With the Stars" season 22, a source told Us Weekly.

Sweetin is best known for portraying the role of the sarcastic but witty daughter of Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) named Stephanie in the hit 1990s sitcom "Full House" and its upcoming Netflix spin-off "Fuller House."

In 2013, the actress told NJ.com (via Us magazine) how her love for dancing began. "I started dancing when I was, like, 3," Sweetin said. "I don't know if you called what I did great dancing, but it was fun."

She also revealed how her character Stephanie began dancing in the sitcom.

"The girls I danced with in [Full House] were girls I actually trained with in the studio. So I danced outside the show and they sort of incorporated that as part of the character for Stephanie."

However, both ABC and Sweetin have yet to confirm the validity of the source's claim regarding the actress's participation in the long-running reality competition.

Meanwhile, other celebrities have been rumored to join the next lineup of contestants in "Dancing with the Stars" season 22. Some of the rumors mentioned that "Cheers" star Rhea Perlman, while others mentioned that actress Taryn Manning from the critically acclaimed Netflix drama "Orange Is the New Black" will also compete for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.

Other casting rumors for "Dancing with the Stars" season 22 mentioned that "The Bachelorette" season 11's Kaitlyn Bristowe will also compete on the dancing reality show. There are also reports saying that Bristowe's former suitor and current "The Bachelor" star Ben Higgins will also join the other celebrities in season 22. However, Higgins's stint on the dating reality show is not yet over. But he said that he is still keeping his options open.

ABC is expected to release the official names of the next "Dancing with the Stars" contestants before the show premieres on March 21.
