Dancing with the Stars season 18 will premiere next week.

The all new celebrity cast of the show was revealed earlier this month, including new co-host Erin Andrews.

Former host Brooke Burke-Charvet was taken by surprise when she found out she was fired from the show just weeks before its premiere date. She was later replaced by sports reporter Erin Andrews, in ABC's bid to improve viewer ratings.

Although the news was sudden and the former co-host was taken aback by the news, she is getting along well with new host Andrews.

Tom Bergeron, who has been hosting the DWTS series for all previous 17 seasons , recently told E! News that all is fine between Burke-Charvet and Andrews, and that they've been handling the news with maturity.

Bergeron also spoke about the new feature that will be introduced to the show called "The Switch Up."

"I'm not sure yet how it's going to play out. I don't know if it's just for a week or whatever they do it they're going to do it for the balance of the season, so I'm kind of as curious as you and the dancers are, as to how this is going to play. It's either going to be very intriguing exciting or a trainwreck."

The veteran host also revealed his favorite celebrity to win this year – former Wonder Years star Danica McKellar, who is paired with pro-dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

Bergeron said, "I'll be completely honest with you-I had been lobbying personally to Danica [McKellar] to do it. I've been working on her a couple seasons now, and I was thrilled when she finally said yes."

Meanwhile, some viewers were surprised when The Bachelor star Juan Pablo Galavis was not asked to be on the dancing show this year.

The Bachelor or Bachelorette of the year usually goes on to compete in DWTS after starring on the reality show in their quest for love.

However, Galavis, who has been dubbed one of the most controversial bachelors on the series, wasn't chosen this season by ABC executives. In the Bachelor season finale that aired Monday, Galavis gave the final rose to Nikki Ferrell, saying he likes her a lot. However, he admitted that he had the ring in his pocket but did not propose to her.

Dancing with the Stars season 18 will premiere Monday, March 17 on ABC.
