"Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS) season 21 premiere episode definitely delivered a powerful opening number featuring the new season's dancing celebrities and their professional dance partners.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the dance from Monday's premiere episode was put together by Mandy Moore and Tom Bergeron took over hosting of the show.

The giant dance number during the premiere night was shot at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, and fans of the show got introduced to the complete DWTS lineup.

The show definitely did not hold back from showing stunning performances from the cast, but reports stated that DWTS is taking the show to a new level by incorporating something that has never been shown in the previous seasons.

A report from the International Business Times stated that the show will feature stories from celebs and pro dancers, particularly the hometown where they grew up in, according to pro dancer Mark Ballas, who was paired with actress Alexa PenaVega.

This means that viewers will get the chance to know deeper not only their favorite celebrities but also the pro dancers who will be helping them win the coveted title of "Dancing With the Stars" champion.

Viewers should also expect that for the coming episodes of season 21, they will see how dancers will be able to learn two kinds of dances in just a matter of four days.

In the meantime, week 1 of the show did not see any dance couples being eliminated and all contestants moved forward to week 2.

The first elimination will happen on episode 2, which will be on Monday, Sept. 21; dance couples who earned the lowest scores combined will say goodbye to the show.

During that episode, two celebrities will be kicked out of the competition, which will leave only 11 dance couples to continue fighting on all throughout the season, IBTimes reported.
