"Daredevil" season 3 has finally been made official by Netflix, four months after it made a splash on the streaming giant. The return of the Man without Fear played by Charlie Cox was confirmed at the San Diego Comic Con.

Netflix did not reveal anything about "Daredevil" season 3, but fans could expect a villain since The Punisher (Jon Berthal) has a new show coming.

It is expected that the upcoming season will feature Bullseye, one of the most popular Daredevil villains in the comics. This is the possibility Cox teased earlier this year while waiting for the renewal.

"If we are fortunate enough to continue making the Daredevil series, I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point," Cox told Screen Rant back in March.

"It would be great to have him around at some point. Who would play that part I have no idea but I just think there's such an interesting, rich character there," he went on to say.

The actor went on to explain how "Daredevil" season 3 could delve into Bullseye's connection with Karen Page in the comics, adding that it is an "interesting dynamic."

In the series, Karen Page is played by Deborah Ann Woll. With the character well established in the series, featuring a story with the character and Bullseye could work in "Daredevil" season 3.

"When you read the comics it's etched in a Daredevil memory all that stuff," Cox explained. That being said, "Daredevil" season 3 might be the season Bullseye finally tackles Daredevil.

However, with Netflix still mum about its plans for Daredevil's return, fans will have to do with speculations and wishful thinking first.

A premiere date for "Daredevil" season 3 is yet to be announced, but it looks like fans will seem him first in the "Defenders" miniseries.
