"Daredevil" season 2 will not just focus on Matt Murdock aka Daredevil (Charlie Cox) but will also be bringing in other Marvel superheroes the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra (Elodie Yung). During the Television Critics Association panel (via Games Radar), actress Elodie Yung elaborated a little bit more regarding her character's story and personality.

Yung first describes Elektra as neither a good or bad person and that her relationship as Matt Murdock's ex-girlfriend will also be explored in the season. Yung also states that audiences will find it a little bit difficult to fully grasp her character due to her altering traits and personality.

"I wanted to keep the coldness of the character – Elektra is kind of a sociopath. This world is a game for her, a chess game," Yung explained. "What motivates her is what she wants. She'll use anything she needs to use to get to her goal. If she needs to kill people, she will."

Unfortunately, Yung did not elaborate on whether or not Elektra would last longer than the second season. Fans of the original comic book series will recall that despite Elektra's powers and fighting prowess, she eventually met her end when she was killed by Bullseye, one of Wilson Fisk's (Vincent D'Onofrio) most prized mercenaries.

At this point, Bullseye has not been cast so it is possible that Elektra will survive through season 2, only to be killed in a future season, particularly when Bullseye is introduced into the series. However, there is also the possibility that the Punisher may take over Bullseye's role and kill Elektra in his place.

During the same panel, Charlie Cox explained that with Wilson Fisk now in prison, the crime rate in Hell's Kitchen has gone down but this will change with the arrival of the Punisher.

"Daredevil" season 2 will premiere this coming March 18.
