Last week, at the San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Entertainment's creative head Joe Quesada had some great news for fans. The release of the third season of one of their most loved shows "Daredevil"was officially confirmed. Although a specific date was not given, fans have begun to set the rumour mill running with various possible release dates and plotlines.

As reported by Ecumenical News, Marvel lovers and "Daredevil" fans all over have always been certain that a third installment of the series would eventually make it to the screens. However, Netflix and Marvel have other titles in the mill, including "Luke Cage," "Iron Fist" and "Defenders." In the midst of this superhero storm, it seemed likely that the next season of "Daredevil"could be temporarily shelved.

Now, with the official confirmation at Comic Con, along with an itsy-bitsy teaser on Daredevil's official Twitter account, the release date for the new season is inching closer. The Netflix series is centred on one of the four superheroes in the Defenders'universe. Although Daredevil was first of the four heroes to have an original show, the other three, namely Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, now have a standalone series dedicated to their tales.

To top it all, the four of them will come together in Netflix's series titled "The Defenders," which, according to Vine Report, is set for a 2017 release. Daredevil's season 3 will perhaps premiere after "The Defenders" airs. So we could be in for a 2017 release.

Speculations regarding the new season of "Daredevil" suggest that Bullseye may be the central bad guy during this run. While Daredevil battles it out with Bullseye, Matt Murdock might have to lock horns with Wilson Fisk. Given that there has been absolutely no other information shared from the official panel, these theories continue to remain vague guesses. We'll only know better as the release date inches closer.
