"Daredevil" season 3 may still be far off, but fans will not miss some of the characters as they will be part of "The Punisher" spinoff starring Jon Bernthal.

Deborah Ann Woll, who plays the role of Karen Page in the Charlie Cox-led Netflix hit, is the latest "Daredevil" star to be added to the spinoff.

Woll and Bernthal broke the news during the "Iron Fist" panel at New York Comic-Con. The co-stars had nothing but praises for each other.

To some, however, the news comes as a little surprise as Woll was photographed by sneaky fans speaking with Bernthal in his "The Punisher" garb on the spinoff's set in New York City.

Karen and Frank Castle have interacted in the second season of "Daredevil," with the former having learned of the tragic fate of the latter's family.

Castle also saved Karen's life after being kidnapped by his former commanding officer. It is unclear how things will be between the two come "The Punisher."

As for "Daredevil" season 3, there is no news about the new season of the series at the moment. The show's return to the screens is set to 2018.

However, it was announced that "The Punisher" will premiere that year as well, as opposed to the 2017 launch that was reported previously.

It is unclear if this will affect the timing of the premiere of "Daredevil" season 3, although it looks like "The Punisher" is meant to be released first before the third solo outing of The Man Without Fear.

In terms of the plot, "Daredevil" season 3 is expected to show Elektra (Elodie Yung) resurrected as Daredevil's newest adversary. The new season will also be affected by the Marvel shows that will air before it.

This means that the events in "The Punisher" and "The Defenders" miniseries will have repercussions on the character and the events that will transpire in the new season.
