Is Bandai Namco preparing to reveal "Dark Souls 3" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015?

A source who allegedly knows the details about the game told VG247 that the third installment in the action role-playing open world video game series developed by From Software is poised to come out during the annual video game exhibition that will be held from June 15 to 18.

The informant also mentioned that Hidetaka Miyazaki, the same brilliant director of "Bloodborne," "Demon's Souls," as well as the original "Dark Souls," will be returning to spearhead the development of the project. He previously decided to stay at the sidelines of "Dark Souls 2" and assumed a supervisory role for the game, while Yui Tanimura and Tomohiro Shibuya took over to helm the sequel.

There was no information given about which press conference the "Dark Souls 3" announcement will be featured in, but speculations claim that the title will be revealed during Sony's press panel on June 15 at this year's E3 trade show. This could be because From Software recently collaborated with the video game entertainment company for "Bloodborne."

"Dark Souls 3" will be the successor to the highly successful "Dark Souls 2" title, which was released on March 11, 2014. While "Dark Souls 2" features the PvE or player versus environment and PvP or player versus player gameplay, it also comes with several co-op components. The second installment also managed to surpass the Metacritic ratings of the original "Dark Souls" title, but other fans are still loyal to the original plot of the first game released in 2011.

At the moment, details about the plot and gameplay of "Dark Souls 3" are still undisclosed, and there is no official release date yet.

Aside from "Dark Souls 3," Sony is also expected to reveal "No Man's Sky" and "Tearaway: Unfolded" during their scheduled press conference at the E3 2015 event in Los Angeles.
