Bandai Namco has confirmed that the first DLC for "Dark Souls 3" will be released this fall. The game publisher added that a second DLC pack will be launched at a later date. Both will likely be packaged in the game's season pass.

Bandai Namco did not disclose any information on what content to expect in the expansion packs. The only takeaway from this announcement is that the DLC will be out by September at the earliest.

As the month inches closer, "Dark Souls 3" players can expect more specific details about the expansion pack to come out. For now, a previous leak that provides a clue on what's in store will have to do. Back in February, a listing of the game's $25 season pass was leaked.

"Challenge yourself with new maps, bosses, enemies, and additional weapon and armor sets. Prepare yourself once more and embrace the darkness," the description of the leaked "Dark Souls 3" season pass listing read.

While waiting for the DLC to emerge, gamers can enjoy "Dark Souls 3" in all its glory and explore each and every corner of the game first. After all, the action role-playing video game was only released in North America last April 12. It only took mere days for the copies on Amazon to run out.
