The incredibly difficult action role-playing game (RPG) "Dark Souls" is certainly popular, especially for players who want to experience a challenging title, and as such its fanbase has found a lot of creative ways to play the game.

In the past, players would use unconventional ways to beat the game, such as voice commands, dance pads, and more. Now, it seems that its developers are planning to make "Dark Souls 3" a VR-ready title, and fans of the franchise are hyped up for it.

According to Game Rant, the producer for the "Dark Souls 3" game — Atsuo Yoshimura — suggested that a VR version of the game is in development. After all, he said that FromSoftware is hoping that the franchise will soon be adapted for virtual reality technology.

This revelation was made during the live stream at the 2016 Golden JoyStick Awards, with Yoshimura asking fans about their take on VR. The host — Julia Hardy — then asked him if the fans will soon see a VR-ready "Dark Souls" title, and he replied, "Errr yes....we're hoping, we're hoping," which seems to indicate that a "Dark Souls VR" game is already in development.

Of course, fans were not really surprised by the implication as it is not the first time that FromSoftware has expressed its interest in VR gaming. As fans can remember, the director of "Dark Souls 2" — Yui Tanimura — has said that the franchise will certainly work well with VR headsets.

Furthermore, a video uploaded to FromSoftware's official YouTube channel suggests that the developer's next project will have support for the PS VR. This is despite the fact that the company is working on a completely different game, as they might just port the released "Dark Souls" gameplay to the PS VR.

Regardless, Game N Guide reports that it is still uncertain at this point whether or not the VR version of a "Dark Souls" title will be built from scratch. As such, fans expect more information to be revealed at the PlayStation Experience event in December 2016.
