Xbox Marketplace/From Software

The unannounced season pass for "Dark Souls 3" has been leaked by Microsoft via the Xbox Marketplace as well as on Steam. The content is now available for pre-order on the said stores as well as on the PlayStation Store.

PS4 players are not offered the standalone season pass at the moment but there's a bundle of it along with the game now on offer. The "Dark Souls 3" season pass is also included in the game's Deluxe Edition, which includes a copy of the game for $84.99.

The season pass for the next "Dark Souls" title includes a pair of "epic" DLC packs that contain new enemies to fight, new bosses to get through and new maps to traverse. Players will also be getting an extra weapon as well as armor sets for the price of $24.99.

At the moment, developer Bandai Namco is yet to provide specific details about the season pass. There's no mention of when it will be officially released. A copy of "Dark Souls 3," on the other hand, is priced at $59.99 and is now available for pre-order on all platforms.

Players who purchase the game early will score them a code for the original "Dark Souls" title, which is the latest game to be added with Xbox One backward compatibility. This means that the title made for Xbox 360 in the will be playable in the new-gen Microsoft console.

Early buyers will be provided with a code to access the 2011 role-playing game seven to 10 days after the purchase. Players can then redeem the code they are provided on this website. As for those who already have "Dark Souls" on their Xbox 360, there remains no update as to how they can get it over to their Xbox One.

The "Dark Souls 3" release date falls on April 12.
