American comedian and talk show host David Letterman is all set to make a comeback on Netflix with his show "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman." The talk show host has not only managed to return to the old format but has garnered numerous A-list personalities to guest on his show, the first of which is former United States President, Barack Obama.

As of now, the Netflix show will have six episodes, with each of them being an hour long, by estimation. In the announcement trailer, it was revealed that hip hop rapper Jay-Z prolific writer and comedian, Tina Fey, Malala Yousafzai, actor George Clooney, and the shock jock himself, Howard Stern, will all be making appearances on the show. Just as the title suggests, the lineup of guests for Letterman's first Netflix show is looking to be very promising.

Letterman sure knows how to start a gig, with Obama being his very first guest. Obama guesting on Letterman's first episode will make it his first official talk show appearance since he stepped down from presidency. The format of the Netflix appears to be quite different from what Letterman was formerly used to -- showing clips of the studio interview itself, and other clips depicting Letterman's travels other places to better get to know his guests.

Unlike his stint at "The Late Show with David Letterman," the focus of the Netflix show is to get to know the guests better in a more intimate, and personal way. Letterman has previously stated that he wants nothing to do with his previous show, which is now hosted by Stephen Colbert, and has avoided coming on as a guest in order to prove his point. Indeed, Letterman is retired, but seems to be excited to venture into this new endeavor with Netflix.

The show is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 12, and will have six episodes right out of the gate. Fans and viewers can expect that in the coming months for the rest of the year, Letterman will keep coming up with new guests and episodes.
