Tensions continue to rise in Salem as JJ (Casey Moss) allows his guilt consume him. "Days of Our Lives" spoilers reveal that Abe (James Reynolds) will have a little talk with Eli (Lamon Archey).

Fans know how Abe has been doing since the shooting. Abe cannot bear the thought of Theo (Kyler Pettis) continuing to be in a coma. He is also still incredibly furious with JJ, and as of last week, he made brash decisions as his emotions clearly clouded his mind. In other words, Abe is not in a good place at the moment, but it is of course understandably so.

Fortunately, he will be able to return to the levelheaded person that he is known to be, so he will look to others for a second opinion. Next week, Abe will have a word with Eli and he will ask him for his thoughts on the shooting.

Previously, Eli and Gabi (Camila Banus) were engaged in a heated confrontation regarding the incident. Eli seemed to think that JJ reacted on impulse and that Theo's race may have been a factor in the shooting. Now that Abe is asking him about his thoughts on this again, it is possible that Eli may see where Gabi's argument is coming from now. Gabi had argued that Eli made the same move with former commissioner Raines (Aaron D. Spears) not too long ago, which resulted in his conflict with Rafe (Galen Gering).

However, it is also possible that Eli might stand by what he thinks of the shooting and even say that JJ is not fit to be a good detective. Whatever the case, Abe will take Eli's stance into consideration, but he will still ask others on what they think of this situation.

Thankfully, new details regarding the incident will also come to light. There might lie the answer as to why Theo broke into the warehouse. This will definitely put Kate (Lauren Koslow) on edge. The police are already slowly unraveling the details, and she has to deal with Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) knowing as well.

It is only a matter of time before Kate is found out to be the one that put Theo up to the task. Steve will certainly make that happen, as previous spoilers have already suggested. No one messes with Tripp (Lucas Adams) without messing with Steve and Kayla!

Elsewhere, JJ will continue to remember that night too. As fans have seen, he can hardly sleep because of the guilt. He can hardly do anything because of it either. It is clear that he feels a lot of remorse, but he is letting all this guilt consume him. Eric (Greg Vaughan) will manage to reach out to him. If there was anyone in Salem who knows how JJ feels, it would definitely be him.

Eric will try to get through to him by talking about his own experience. When he accidentally killed Daniel (Shawn Christian), Eric did not know how to cope or move on with his life. He eventually found a way, and it was through helping others at the Horton Center. It also helped that he earned the forgiveness of Daniel's loved ones, especially Nicole (Arianne Zucker).

He will give JJ some reassurance that he can get back up on his feet and move forward. Eric will not want JJ to throw his life and future away because of this. Unfortunately, JJ will continue to battle his guilt anyway, but hopefully, Eric's visit will get through to him in some way or another.
