It seems that a story akin to Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is going to happen to two couples in Salem. "Days of Our Lives" spoilers reveal that a partner swap will be happening down the road.

Lani (Sal Stowers) and JJ (Casey Moss) will have some difficulty trying to move forward in the midst of all the drama. Things were going well for this couple until the shooting happened. Right now, Theo (Kyler Pettis) is in a coma and Abe (James Reynolds) thinks of JJ has a trigger-happy officer.

She will not know how to act like things are back to normal. It is apparent that their lives certainly changed when the shooting happened. Lani will think about where things are in her relationship with JJ. Unfortunately, she will not be able to see any other way that they can fix things. Plus, even if Lani could let this go, Abe will not. She will not be willing to cause her family more pain during this trying time.

This will lead her to breaking up with JJ. She will suggest that they should keep their distance from each other from now on. JJ will be crushed by Lani's decision, but he will more than likely understand. He is currently dealing with a lot of guilt, so he feels like he deserves to be miserable since Theo and his family members are also suffering.

Theo's shooting will definitely bring on more controversy, and Salem's residents will start taking sides. Among them being Eli (Lamon Archey) and Gabi (Camila Banus). After Eli hears Lani talk about what happened, he will support her and her family. However, this will not sit well with Gabi when he starts ranting about what JJ had done.

Gabi will then, in turn, support JJ. She will feel like he was only doing his job. JJ obviously never wanted things to turn out this way, but Eli will not care about his intentions. Eli will feel like JJ made an impulsive decision that nearly killed Theo. Gabi might point out what happened with Raines (Aaron D. Spears), when she was taken hostage.

Rafe (Galen Gering) ripped into Eli for taking a shot while Raines still had a grip on Gabi. Should Eli make then wrong move, then Gabi could have been killed. Gabi might add that bring a cop means making decisions at a split-second and sometimes they do not pan out as expected. Then again, Eli will not think that they are talking about the same thing. This couple will get into a big fight for sure and their argument might put an end to their romance.

Should Eli and Gabi decide to end things, this might land Eli in Lani's orbit while Gabi is back in JJ's. There's a chance that the latter pair might end up reuniting while Lani and Eli move forward with each other.

At the DiMera side of things, "Days of Our Lives" spoilers reveal that Andre (Thaao Penghlis) will definitely be on the receiving end of a lot of violent reactions due to Theo's shooting.

Kate (Lauren Koslow) will be struggling with just as much guilt as JJ. She feels terrible that she put Theo in harm's way. She will pay him a visit and that is when the enormity of the situation will really hit her. Kate will have difficulty trying to hide her guilt from everyone close to her, one of them being Andre.

The two of them have grown closer lately, so Andre will get her to open up about what is on her mind. He will want to know if there is a way he can help her out. Andre will only be ruthless if necessary, but he tries to be kind when it matters the most. Kate will then blurt out that Theo's situation is all her fault.

When Kate finally opens up to Andre, he will undoubtedly be surprised. She will want him to keep this under wraps as she will worry about the consequences of this being revealed publicly. While Andre will probably agree to do it, to continue doing it will be quite a challenge especially around Chad (Billy Flynn).

As previously mentioned, Andre will wind up at the receiving end of Chad's accusations. Next week, Andre will be thrown out of the DiMera mansion. He no longer buys that his brother is innocent. Even though Abigail (Marci Miller) will continue to convince Chad that Andre had nothing to do with it, it might not work.

Chad's decision will naturally have Andre furious. He will confront Kate and point out that he is taking the fall for her mistakes. Kate will try to calm her husband down, but it just will not work. Andre obviously is suffering for something he had no involvement in. This could trigger that ruthless side of him and once he reaches his limit, he could make Kate even more miserable than she already is.

Andre will make a surprising decision later on, but it is unclear what kind of decision it will be. He could threaten Kate that he could turn her over to the police. Kate will beg Andre to keep quiet about this, but what does he get out of it? It might be time for her to get a taste of her own medicine. In her efforts to cover her tracks, she will blackmail Tripp (Lucas Adams) to keep his mouth shut. Andre will likely make her face a similar situation.

He could make some demands while he is at it. Andre will want to move back into the DiMera mansion. If Abigail is unable to get Chad to lift the ban, Andre might have Kate make it happen. Another demand he might make would be to take control of DiMera Enterprises. Everyone knows that the board is not exactly for Andre being in charge due to his past that is why he agreed to the arranged marriage with Kate to put her in charge.

In this situation, Andre might change his mind. He could suggest that Kate should cooperate and give what he wants or else she could find herself getting questioned by the police or even behind bars. Fans are definitely waiting to see Kate get what she deserves for putting both JJ and Theo in a life-threatening situation.
