Now that Will (Chandler Massey) is back in Salem, it gave some hope that Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) would start to turn his life around. Unfortunately, that is not the case. "Days of Our Lives" spoilers reveal that Lucas will have difficulty laying off the bottle.

While Lucas is happy that Will is alive and back in his life again, it hardly solves the problems that he is currently facing. He has hopped off the wagon and fallen into a drinking binge, further spiraling down to alcoholism. It will be an uphill battle to get rid of the habit. The previous episodes revealed that Will appeared to him in a vision, and he scolded his father for his drinking and urged him to go sober.

Of course, that was all just in Lucas' head. It was his own way of acknowledging that he had a drinking problem. Will, on the other hand, does not feel an attachment with Lucas or his other friends and family. He thinks he has met some nice people, but he does not remember the moments they shared together. That could make it hard for Lucas to deal with in his condition. He may have his son back but not in the way he knew him to be.

Sami (Alison Sweeney) is feeling just as down but she will choose to find other ways of coping. Kate (Lauren Koslow) will try to get through to Lucas again next week. She will hope that he will listen now that Will is in Salem. She will feel confident that her grandson can get his memories back. Kate will believe that even if he can no longer remember, Lucas has to sober up so they can make some new memories together. Kate will think that this is Lucas' chance at really reestablishing his bond with his son.

Apart from telling Lucas to sober up, Kate will then suggest something else, and it will definitely surprise him. She will no longer believe that he is capable of helping himself anymore and that he definitely needs professional help to lay off the sauce. Kate will tell him to check himself into rehab, but he will obviously shut down that idea. He might not even want to stop drinking anytime soon. Kate will feel like she has run out of options but Sami will refuse to give up on him.

Sami will most definitely give him more tough love. She will insist that Lucas should start taking himself and his problem seriously. Sami knows that Lucas needs to be there for Will, most especially because he needs his father the most right now.

"Days of Our Lives" airs Mondays to Fridays at 1 p.m. EST on NBC.
