'Days of Our Lives' spoilers: Paul sees Will but doesn't tell Sonny; Kate blackmails Tripp

The stress from finding Will takes its toll on Sonny in "Days of Our Lives"Twitter/nbcdays

The search for Will (Chandler Massey) will be coming to an end this week, as he will be appearing in the flesh to some of the characters who are looking for him. However, "Days of Our Lives" spoilers indicate that someone will discover him first, and it is neither Sami (Alison Sweeney), Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), nor Sonny (Freddie Smith).

Paul (Christopher Sean) will be the first person in the group to spot Will. Knowing that he was the one who saw him first, then trouble is definitely on the horizon for his relationship. Paul knows how much Sonny wants to get to the bottom of this whole mystery, but the specifics of Will's appearance could make things quite complicated.

Sonny will probably still be at the hospital trying to recover from the blow to his head when Paul sees Will. Paul might not want to upset Sonny and he might decide that he should wait until Sonny is feeling a lot better before he could reveal anything.

It was previously teased that Will is not going to be the same person that he once was, now that he has come back to life, and that certainly is true. Before this whole storyline started to play out, there was the concept of getting brainwashed. It is now confirmed that Susan (Eileen Davidson) is involved and the room in the Elvis impersonators (John Enos) house belongs to someone named "EJ."

There is a chance that when Will was resurrected, he may have lost some or all of his memories. This would have given Susan a clean slate, and brainwashed Will into believing that he is her son, EJ (James Scott). Of course, Will is likely not going to have the same personality as the deceased DiMera, nor should he have the same preferences when it comes to love either. So, Will may just have a new name and obviously a new life to build.

This all narrows down to Paul discovering him. Paul might talk to Will and from there, he could determine that he does not remember Sonny at all. Part of Paul may worry that Will no longer remembering who he is would crush Sonny. At least, that is what Paul could tell himself, but deep down, he is still struggling with some insecurities. He hates having to think about the possibility of Will being alive. It would mean losing Sonny forever. Unfortunately, keeping mum on Will might backfire on him. Sonny will definitely feel betrayed when he finds out that Paul kept this from him.

Back in Salem, "Days of Our Lives" spoilers indicate that Tripp (Lucas Adams) will be caught in a sticky situation. He will overhear a conversation that he was not supposed to hear. Kate (Lauren Koslow) is busy trying to put a stop on the sabotage at DiMera Enterprises, but Tripp might get in her way.

Tripp will find out about a very secret mission that Kate is trying to executive. It does seem like a far-off situation, for Tripp to be the one who gets in the way when it comes to DiMera family activities. He does not even care about the threat to the company nor the company itself. But he will care if he hears that Theo (Kyler Pettis) is doing something shady.

By now, it is becoming more apparent that Tripp's feelings for Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) are growing stronger. He will admit it to Steve (Stephen Nichols) next week, saying that he would like to be with Claire but he knows that Theo is the guy she wants. When the crisis at DiMera Enterprises comes up, he might wonder if this could work to his advantage. Unfortunately, Kate will figure that out too. She will realize that Tripp knows too much and cannot be trusted.

Kate will definitely try and stop Tripp from divulging anything. Knowing where Tripp is from, he is not the kind of person who scares easily and he is quite used to getting warnings and threats sent his way. But this might only make him more determined to use the information that he has. This is when Kate will resort to blackmailing Tripp after finding out some dirt on him.

Unfortunately for Kate, Steve and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) will later on find out that something is up. Naturally, Kate blackmailing Tripp is not going to sit well with them, so they have a little war on their hands.

"Days of Our Lives" airs Mondays to Fridays at 12 p.m. EDT on NBC.
