"Days of our Lives" spoilers suggest intense drama and an eventual reveal that may affect Rafe (played by Galen Gering) and Hope's (played by Kristian Alfonso) engagement. Also, life on the edge seems to finally take its toll on John (played by Dake Hogestyn), who will face a life threatening situation.

Some fans are excited, even hopeful, about the current re-engagement of Rafe and Hope. There is a healthy percentage of viewers who want to see the couple walk down the aisle. But there is also a portion of the audience that remembers what happened when Hope broke off their first engagement in the past.

What happened is that Rafe ended up in bed with his ex Sami (played by Alison Sweeney), and almost everyone except Hope knows. This makes for awkward reactions from people who knew the situation and was handed a wedding invitation.

For instance, Carrie (played by Christie Clark) did not quite have the expected reaction when one is handed a wedding invite. In fact, she thought the engagement was strange.

Naturally, Carrie knows what happened between Rafe and Sami during his brief cool-off with Hope. It does not sit well with her that wedding bells are looming without Hope knowing about Rafe's brief infidelity.

There is a big possibility that Hope will know about Rafe and Sami one way or another.

Meanhile, to say John is going through a rough patch is an understatement, considering that the man just poisoned his best friend, shot his son, and even Marlena's (played by Deirdre Hall) grandson.

When John does decide to confront the agent that made him do such unspeakable acts, the guy just does not give him a break. The agent pulls out a gun and threatens John's life.

Fortunately, Billie (played by Lisa Rinna) arrives in time to save John's life.
