Daytime Emmy Awards 2014 winners, results: 'The Young and the Restless' is the night's biggest winner

The 41st Daytime Emmy Awards has concluded and the night's biggest winner is undoubtedly, "The Young and the Restless." "Y&R" received 26 award nominations and 11 acting nominations, with "General Hospital" just behind with 8 acting nominations.

The 41st Daytime Emmy Awards was held at Beverly Hilton and was hosted by Kathy Griffin. There was also a live stream for the awards show online. Here's the list of the big winners of the night.

"The Young and the Restless" took home the most coveted award of the night, winning Best Drama Series, beating "One Life to Live," "Days of Our Lives" and "The Bold and the Beautiful."

For Best Actor, Billy Miller won for "The Young and the Restless" and Eileen Davidson won Best Actress for "Days of Our Lives." Best Supporting Actor went to Eric Martsolf of "Days of Our Lives," while Amelia Heinle got Best Supporting Actress for "The Young and the Restless."

Best Younger Actor went to Chandler Massey for "Days of Our Lives" and Best Younger Actress went to Hunter King for "The Young and the Restless."

"The Young and the Restless" also won the Best Writing Team, but in an unexpected turn of events, Best Directing Team went to "One Life to Live."

As for the daytime talk shows,"The Ellen DeGeneres Show" won Best Talk Show (Entertainment). Best Talk Show (Informative) went to "Steve Harvey." Best Talk Show Host went to Katie Couric for "Katie" and Dr. Mehmet Oz for "The Dr. Oz Show."

For Best Game Show Host, Steve Harvey took home the prize for "Family Feud." For Best Courtroom Show, "The People's Court" won the award. For Best Lifestyle Show "Elbow Room" is the winner. For Best Culinary Show and Host, "The Mind of a Chef" and Bobby Flay won, respectively.
