Since its release last February, Rebirth has been the major story arc of DC Comics.

The storyline comes after the New 52 story arc, which is a relaunch of the DC superheroes belonging in a universe. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and other iconic heroes from the Justice League are at their prime. Rebirth is the second phase of the title relaunch that aims to connect all universes in DC Comics in one place with the help of Watchmen member, Dr. Manhattan.

However, Batman and his surrogate family has been putting DC Comics toe-to-toe with Marvel Comics counterattack, Marvel Now! Comic fans and critics are calling the Bat-family the equivalent of "X-Men." The current members of the Bat-family is headed by Bruce Wayne himself as Batman.

Members include the bat-brats starting with Nightwing (Dick Grayson), The Red Hood (Jason Todd), Red Robin (Tim Drake), and the current Robin (Damian Wayne). The family also includes the Batgirl starting from Barbara Gordon, Cassandra Cain, and Stephanie Brown. Newer additions to the family include Bruce's cousin Kate Kane, the Batwoman.

Lucas Fox, who has taken his father's tech-suit, became the armored bat, Batwing. The Signal is the former "We are Robins" member, Duke Thomas. Weapons and electronics expert Harper Row also joins the Bat-family known as Bluebird. One final member is the Huntress, Helena Bertinelli. Alfred Pennyworth, according to bat-fans is the most important member of the Bat-family.

With the Rebirth story arc, another new member was added, namely Gotham Girl, the metahuman crime fighter of Gotham City. Due to the current temporal anomaly caused by Dr. Manhattan, Kate's dead sister Bette Kane rose from the grave and became the Batwoman's sidekick, Hawkfire.

This roster of bat-themed superheroes is enough to quench the thirst of comic book fans, as they finally see Bruce expanding his trust circle. Along with the members of the Bat-family come the different storylines that would hail from the four different Robins and Batgirls.

Like other superhero teams, the Bat-family also houses its flaws, like Damian being incapable of dealing with his humanity since he was literally born in a test tube. Jason Todd's tormented past is also an avenue for a loose cannon rage.

Recently, Bruce Wayne has proposed to marry Catwoman and the hopes of finally settling down and hanging the cape is imminent.
