'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' spoilers: filming ongoing - what to expect

The camera is now rolling for the cast of DC Entertainment's "Legends of Tomorrow."

Actress Caity Lotz, who first appeared in the DC television universe as the White Canary/ Sara Lance, recently revealed that the filming for the series is now ongoing. 

Lotz will work with other characters from the other TV series under the DC Entertainment line, The CW's "Arrow" and "The Flash," to form the antihero show. She will be joined by other Arrowverse stars such as "Prison Break" Dominic Purcell (Prison Break) who will star as Mick Rory/ Heat Wave, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/ Captain Cold, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/ the Atom as well as Ciara Renée as Hawkgirl. It also features Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Arthur Darvill as the Rip Hunter, and Casper Crump as the ruthless Vandal Savage. 

Screen Rant revealed that "Legends of Tomorrow" will feature a lot of time travel, as the Rip Hunter weaves through different timeline to gather different characters that he forms as a team in order to help him defeat Vandal Savage and to save the world from destruction. 

The series synopsis reads:

When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?"

At the moment, the premiere date of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" has not yet been revealed, but the sophomore season of its sister show "The Flash" is set to air on Tuesday, Oct. 6, while "Arrow" season 4 premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
