Following the wrap-up of both "New Mutants" and "Dark Phoenix," the production of "Deadpool 2" has also come to an end.

One of the film's writers, Rhett Reese confirmed recently that the sequel to "Deadpool" has finished production. Reese shared on Twitter that "Deadpool 2" is moving forward to post production. The sequel started principal photography back in June 2017, and filming mainly took place in Vancouver, which is the same location where the first movie was filmed.

Production came to a halt for a short period of time, following the death of one of the movie's stuntwomen, Joi Harris who served as Zazie Beetz's stunt double for Domino. Two days later, filming started again.

Along with Reese, the film's star Ryan Reynolds also shared a set of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram to commemorate the end of production. The photo showed him in his Deadpool gear, talking to the film's director David Leitch, who took over for Tim Miller when Miller left the project due to creative differences. Additionally, Reynolds also joked about the film's official title in the post, writing "Deadpool 2: A Song of Fire and Ice."

Other than celebrating the completion of principal photography, Reynolds also indicated in the post that the film has a lot of Easter Eggs in store which will please the fans. That was proven in the few other photos he shared on Instagram regarding the merc with the mouth's katanas. Both hilts of the katanas have "Bea" and "Arthur" engraved on it, indicating the mutant's liking for the "Golden Girls" star.

In the comics, Deadpool is obsessed with Arthur, to the extent that Wade Wilson was seen wearing a shirt with the late actress' face in the first movie.

Alongside Reynolds and Beetz, "Deadpool 2" also stars Josh Brolin as the time-travelling mutant Cable, and Jack Kesy in a mystery role which is heavily speculated to be Black Tom Cassidy. T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Karan Soni, and Stefan Kapicic will be returning to reprise their roles from the first movie.

"Deadpool 2" will premiere on June 1, 2018.
