'Deadpool' movie spoilers: Full-length trailer finally released

Marvel

After the attendees at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 enjoyed watching the red band trailer of "Deadpool," the rest of the world now has the chance to catch a glimpse of Ryan Reynold's R-rated anti-hero flick, released by 20th Century Fox.

The gruesome, blood-soaked trailer centers on the adventures of the "Merc with a Mouth" as he fights with lawless people. It begins when Special Forces operator Wade Wilson (Reynolds) discovers that he has cancer. He promptly volunteers to join the genetic experimentation program, which gives him several unexplainable powers including the inability to get killed.

The rest of the trailer shows how the reformed Wilson deals with crooked criminals while showcasing his goofy, sarcastic humor combined with tons of explicit words. It also shows the hilarious interaction between Ajax and Wilson/ Deadpool, where the evil sidekick portrayed by Ed Skrein tells the infamous Marvel anti-hero that sense of "humor is lacking in this place" as he straps him in a gurney.

Marvel released the official synopsis for the film, which reads:

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life."

Based on the trailer, Reynolds' performance as a foul-mouthed anti-hero is definitely spot on. He also delivered all the jokes right on time.

"You may be wondering why the red suit ... well that's so bad guys can't see me bleed," Reynolds' character tells the armed gunmen. "This guy's got the right idea ... he wore the brown pants."

"Deadpool" is slated to premiere on Feb. 12, 2016.
