The "Deadpool" movie is finally in production in Vancouver, Canada, with Tim Miller directing and Ryan Reynolds as the titular character. According to the Hollywood Reporter, an unknown actress Brianna Hildebrand now joins the film as the mutant Ellie Phimister a.k.a. Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead was created by comic book writer Grant Morrison. The character, named after a song by Monster Magnet, is a student of the mutant Emma Frost and has powerful psychic and precognitive abilities. She is eventually killed off in the comics during the mutant extermination on the island of Genosha. She is shown several times after that but only as a hallucination or a brief resurrection before being killed off again. She is one of the few mutants in the "X-Men" universe that has not made an appearance in the "What-If?" and "Otherworld" storylines such as the "Ultimate" comic books.

It is not yet clear if Hildebrand will be dressed up to look exactly like the pale-skinned psychic but The Hollywood Reporter stated that the actress is undergoing strict physical training, hinting that her character would be more than just a pencil pusher around Reynold's Deadpool.

"Deadpool" will be Hildebrand's first major role in a movie. She was part of the "Annie Undocumented" Web series, which won the Best Web Series at the 2014 New York TV Festival.

Apart from Reynolds and Hildebrand, comedian T.J. Miller is also set to appear as Weasel. Gina Carano takes on the role of  Angel Dust and Morena Baccarin portrays the Copycat.

"Deadpool" tells the tale of an assassin, Wade Wilson, who suffers from cancer and attempts to save his life with an experimental procedure only to be twisted and mutated into a scarred but super-powerful being with super-healing and super-human reflexes.

"Deadpool" is scheduled to be released on Feb. 12, 2016.
