There has been buzz around the National Basketball Association (NBA) regarding the possible trade of Los Angeles Clipper starting center, DeAndre Jordan. Recently, rumors of multiple teams being interested in Jordan has surfaced, and there is definitely enough time during the season for teams to make their move in order to acquire his talents.

In a report by Mavs Money Ball, reasons have been fleshed out as to why the Dallas Mavericks should be inclined to make the necessary moves in order to trade for Jordan. The Mavericks have been struggling since the start of the season, with only four wins out of 19 games so far. However, it is notable to mention that the Mavericks are in an awkward spot as far as their franchise is concerned.

Given that the Mavericks are also in the process of rebuilding their team now that Dirk Nowitzki's age is catching up to him, perhaps there is a way that they can get a veteran like Jordan and still secure good picks at the next NBA Draft. Then again, it is not just the Mavericks that are looking to get ahold of Jordan once he is eligible for trade as a free agent.

Blasting News has speculated that Jordan may just be interested in joining The King, along with his Cleveland Cavaliers over at the East. The Cavaliers are currently a championship caliber team, despite not having Isaiah Thomas as their point guard since the start of the season — along with Tristan Thompson and Derrick Rose currently in recovery from their injuries.

However, if the Cavaliers are successful in acquiring Jordan, the veteran center would be another welcome addition to increase their chances to win another title.

According to NESN, teams will have to take note of Jordan's massive salary, which is now sitting at an estimated $22.6 million. Regardless of whether Jordan opts out of his contract with his current team, the Clippers may still have a sizable advantage in restructuring their team within the season. However, they would have to be smart with their finances and their personnel.
