'Death Trash' delayed, no new release date given

Cyberpunk roleplaying game "Death Trash" was originally slated for a 2017 release. The game was delayed, however, and ever since then no new release date has been announced. Instead, "Death Trash" will be released whenever the game is finished. Despite this however, updates regarding the strange game have continued to make their way around the internet.

"Death Trash" also has an official website with additional information for gamers interested in learning more about the gritty sci-fi world. The synopsis on their website reads: "Generations after the Great Galactic War, civilization rises again on Tauris V and the age-old power struggle of factions about resources, influence and beliefs begin anew. But this time the Ancients are freed from their shackles and the Evergrowing Heart pounds for the Flesh Hive. You are the key to solving or escalating this conflict"

The game has been compared to the older "Fallout" games, with the website stating it was a grittier version of the latter. Similar to "Fallout," players will take a key role in forwarding the game's plot and changing the outcome of the situation and the people who inhabit the world of "Death Trash."

"Death Trash's" official website also goes into deeper detail regarding the in-game mechanics. Despite being an action-packed story, the game will put a heavy emphasis on dialogue and narrative. Real-time combat will also come into play, allowing players to move their characters across the screen while fighting strange monsters. This will also give the player the ability to dodge and run away from attacks, unlike in some RPGs where the player character must remain stationary and wait their turn.

Another interesting mechanic in "Death Trash" is that any of the NPCs can die.

Aside from that, the dialogue is also done in real time. Similar to the indie game "Oxenfree," this game mechanic means players need to think quickly and time their answers correctly to get the most out of a conversation. "Death Trash" will also come with a local cooperative mode.
