Joe Manganiello is as excited for "Deathstroke" as the fans of the DC supervillain, as new photos from the set of the upcoming movie have revealed the actor wearing the costume.

The 40-year-old actor brings the super assassin to life in DC and Warner Bros. set images for the movie. The pictures reveal Manganiello donning the modern take on Deathstroke's costume, which trades in the classic scale-pattern armor for the bulkier orange-and-black carbon-fiber and kevlar platings. His headpiece also looks to be a solid helmet, which may please some fans of the comics as this costume is quite accurate to the comic book designs.

Staying true to the source-material, Manganiello also sacrifices one of his eyes by wearing a black eye-patch since the comic book version is missing his right eye. As for his arsenal, fans might get nitpicky at his sword as the handle does not seem to look like a traditional katana which the comic book version wields iconically. Also, Manganiello is seen only wearing one sword instead of two, but that might change in the movie.

Regardless, it seems Manganiello is a perfect fit for the role, even dying his hair and beard grey after Wilson Slade, the real identity of Deathstroke.

It can be recalled in the post-credits scene of the recent "Justice League" movie that the criminal genius Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) is seen aboard his private yacht meeting with Wilson. This spells trouble for the Justice League as Wilson has a bloody reputation for being one of the deadliest assassins in the DC universe, even going toe-to-toe with Batman and other stronger members of the League.

This means that Deathstroke is indeed going to be in a second "Justice League" movie, acting as a point man to Luthor's plans against the League, and possibly even becoming a member of Luthor's Injustice League, which is an evil mirror image of the superhero collective. This group may also include the Joker and other enemies of each league member, though as of now, nothing has been confirmed.
