UK Rock stars Delirious? make their first and only appearance in Northern Ireland this year at Ireland's largest Christian festival - Summer Madness, which started on 2nd July and will last for exactly 5 days.

Summer Madness annually attracts over 5,000 people to the Kings Hall complex for a wide ranging programme of arts, music, drama, comedy, and training. The focal point of the camp is the main worship and teaching meetings which take place in the Kings Hall twice a day. There is also a strong emphasis on the musical arts with a number of venues showcasing international and more local Christian bands throughout the day and into the early hours of the morning. Music styles include dance, rock, acoustic and jazz.

The members of Delirious? have been keen to share their lives and music authentically. Drummer Stew Smith says "For us it's a total package; our faith is important to us and the music is as important to us as well. We want to put on a good show but there is a message there as well, people come and they receive a little bit of both."

The band were the first main stage band to sign up for this youth festival. Summer Madness Festival Director John Kee said, "We are delighted to be able to announce Delirious as our first main stage signing for this year's event. They are one of the top Christian bands in the world so it is fantastic to finally be able to confirm them. This year's festival is shaping up to be potentially the biggest ever in terms of artists and speakers, it is safe to say that this won't be the last major artist appearing at the 2004 event. Summer Madness is renowned for it's constant innovation, always delivering a festival of the highest quality both in terms of performers and programme and this year will be no different."

Delirious? front man Martin Smith added, "We have been looking forward to appearing at Madness for a number of years. So we are really excited that everything has worked out and we will finally get a taste of the Summer Madness experience in July. The Northern Ireland crowds have been totally amazing in the past and I've no doubt that Saturday night in the Kings Hall at this year's festival will be something special, both for the band and the event."

After Summer Madness, Delirious? will go onto the Grassrootz Festival on 10th July in Kent; before heading to California on 15th July.
