Dell has announced that it will be taking back to the drawing board their latest Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 tablet and will be working on a 2016 version of the device, the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855.

According to Gadgets 360, Dell announced last Monday that a next generation of the Venue 8 Pro 5855 will be created, bringing upgrades such as a full-HD display, cellular connectivity support, and Windows 10 operating system launching out of the box.

The current model of the Dell Venue 8 Pro sports a 1,280x800 pixel resolution display with a measure of 8 inches, but the gadget developer plans to make the 2016 model of the tablet sport a 1920x1080 pixel resolution on it's 8-inch display, bringing full HD capacity to the device.

Dell Venue 8 Pro will be powered by a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 SoC clocked at 1.44GHz (up to 2.24GHz), a significant improvement from the current Intel Atom processor Z3740 which only clocks up to 1.8GHz quadcore. The device's processor is expected to have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory storage with a provision for a microSD card slot, which allows up to 128 GB in expanded storage.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro is best known for it's connectivity feature. The Dual-band WiFi helps establish faster and more reliable internet connections through WiFi hotspots. The tablet also provides bluetooth connectivity for external hardware such as a mouse, keyboard, headset or other accessories with a Bluetooth 4.0 capacity.

With the introduction of Windows 10 launching out of the box, the Venue 8 Pro 5855 will also have direct access to new Windows features such as Cortana, Windows Hello, Microsoft Edge and many other Windows features. The device also includes a USB Type-C connector along with a microSD card slot, and a 2-megapixel front facing camera and a 5-megapixel back-facing camera.

The Dell Venue Pro presently sells for a price tag of $449.
