She proudly supported her daughter during the latter's winning turn on "Dancing With the Stars," and now, it has been reported that Demi Moore is about to follow in the footsteps of her daughter Rumer Willis and is thinking about joining the hit ABC show next season. 

According to a June 22 report of Star magazine, the "Ghost" actress is seriously considering a turn on the dance floor not just to bring home another Mirror Ball Trophy, but as a way to "reinvigorate" her career. 

However, sources told the magazine that Rumer is not too happy about her mom joining the competition. 

"Rumer doesn't get why her mom, who's already an A-list star, needs to try to outshine her," the source told Star.

The insider went on to say that Demi reportedly wanted to be paired with Rumer's dance partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy. 

During her run on "Dancing With the Stars," Rumer, 26, has been candid about how, in her teens, she suffered from deep insecurities regarding her looks, and that she and her sisters have always been compared to their famous mother. But the singer-actress said that being on "DWTS" helped her gain confidence and that now, she's better equipped to deal with detractors and bullies. 

On the May 11 episode of the show, Demi, 52, revealed that at first, she didn't want her eldest daughter to compete on the show. 

"When she said, 'I want to do Dancing With the Stars,' my whole insides — I have to be honest — were screaming, 'no'," the actress said. "One of the most beautiful things I've witnessed is watching her passion become greater than her fear." 

"It has nothing to do with her being my kid or Bruce's kid. It has everything to do with who she is," she added.

While Rumer is said to be a bit annoyed about her mother possibly being in the show when it returns later this year, this is also the first project that she has reportedly seen Demi get excited about in years, and for that reason alone, she wants her to be happy. 

Demi Moore's reps have yet to comment on the rumors as of the moment.
