Derick Dillard could be the most controversial Duggar in-law since he has been receiving constant backlash online for different reasons. Recently, fans are slamming Derick for allegedly using his GoFundMe money for a date night with his wife, Jill Duggar.

The husband of Jill recently posted a photo on his Instagram account with a caption that says, "Enjoying date night with my BFF." One fan asked if he used the money he raised for the ministry for the said dinner. Another follower added that the couple should have money from the show, referring to "Counting On," and she questioned why they need to start a GoFundMe page.

Derick has raised money using GoFundMe for a new ministry. The said page was launched in November wherein he is aiming to raise $10,000. The page says that Derick is serving through a program at his home church called the Cross Church School of Ministry. He said that he is excited for the opportunity to further his ministry development.

According to him, he started the fundraiser in order to raise the funding for various mission opportunities throughout the year. Derick said that his $10,000 goal will enable him to fulfill his calling, which includes trips for Gospel-advancement and humanitarian work in Northwest Arkansas, North America, and other areas abroad.

This is not the first time that Derick raised funds using the website. Back in August, Derick also used GoFundMe since they needed extra money when they left their El Salvador ministry. Fans are not happy that the reality star is asking for their hard-earned money knowing that they are earning from their show.

Aside from this controversy, Derick was fired by TLC in November because of his comments on Jazz Jennings. He slammed the show of Jazz saying that the reality show follows non-reality. He also said that "transgender is a myth and gender is not fluid."

After that, TLC released a statement saying that Derick did not participate in "Counting On" for months and that they do not have plans of featuring him in the future. The network also said that the statement of Derick does not reflect their views since they are proud to share the story of Jazz and her family.
