In the final episode of the season, titled "Brace for Impact," the conspiracy will attempt to launch its final move. It is up to agent Wells to stop another explosion from claiming lives and changing the political scene, as it did previously. Elsewhere in the episode, Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) will investigate the conspiracy, find out their leader, and bring him to justice.

Based on the trailer of the upcoming episode, the nationwide search for the mastermind seems fruitful.

"We believe that he is responsible for the bombing on our capitol," Wells can be heard saying in the clip. She then added, "We'll make him pay for everything."

For the uninitiated, "Designated Survivor" follows the life of cabinet member Tom Kirkman who becomes the head of the country following a devastating attack on the Capitol that took the lives of the President, and most of the cabinet members. It is up to the designated survivor to ensure peace amid the country's chaotic state.

ABC has recently announced that it will be renewing the political drama series for another season. Viewers can expect to see more of Kiefer Sutherland, Natascha McElhone, Adan Canto, Italia Ricci, LaMonica Garrett, Tanner Buchanan, Kal Penn, and Maggie Q.
