"Destiny 2" was just recently released this year, and it almost instantly gained millions of players. New content is continually being rolled out via the game's updates and their first expansion downloadable content (DLC), so fans can expect more features since the game now has a holiday-themed update to celebrate the Christmas season.

Whenever games get a holiday-themed update, there is always one thing they can expect, a snowy environment with bright lights and festive decorations. "Destiny 2" is no exception to this with their "The Dawning" update, as they also allow players to have snowball fights.

Shooting these snowballs to enemies during Strikes will cause them to be stunned, and they will be taking a good amount of damage as well. In a non-combat mode, snowballs can also be picked up in the social hub. Speaking of game modes, the original Mayhem mode from the first "Destiny" title is now back in The Crucible as well. For those who do not know, Mayhem mode is where abilities get recharged a lot faster.

As for in-game items, Tess' shop now features exclusive emblems, sparrows, legendary armor, and other items. The shop will be renewed every week, so players best to check it out every once in a while. Players will be able to buy these items using their Bright Dust.

There is also a new Dawning Gift Schematics. This is where players get to "craft" their gifts, which they can then give to vendors on planets. The vendors will give players a gift in return. However, these gifts and how they operate are supposedly different from each other depending on the vendor.

There are a lot more other changes and new stuff to be added to the game. Players can check more news about the patch in Bungie's website. "The Dawning" update rolled out on Dec. 19 and will be available until next year, on Jan. 9.
