"Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris," the first expansion for the multiplayer shooter game, will increase both the level and power cap of players, just one month after it was released.

According to The Telegraph, Bungie executive producer Nya Shirzad confirmed in a closed doors demonstration at Paris Games Week 2017 that the character level will go up to 25 and the power level caps at 330. New characters and activities will come to the game as well.

EGM explained that this exciting improvement will make it easier for the Guardians to conquer the Prestige versions of Leviathan and make the weekly Nightfalls more manageable.

Shirzad said the story will begin after the conclusion of Destiny 2's campaign.

"Ikora Rey sends you to Mercury on a mission to find Osiris, the most powerful warlock ever known, and to discover the answers humanity needs to fight back against the Vex," she said.

The producer added that something has been "put into motion" and the players' task is to find what it is and stop it.

In the downloadable content, players will learn more about the Vex as they explore Mercury with new quests and adventures, strike and raid content, as well as armors and weapons. The Lighthouse, which was formerly a treat to Trials of the Osiris victors, is now open as a social space for everybody.

Osiris, voiced by "The Mummy" star Oded Fehr, will have to find Ikora Rey's former mentor, the so-called "most notorious warlock in history," who is missing in the Infinite Forest. Help will come in the form of Osiris' sassy Ghost called Sagira, who is voiced by "Homeland," "Deadpool" and "Gotham" actress Morena Baccarin. Brother Vance from the original "Destiny" will also make a comeback with a major supporting role as gatekeeper of the Infinite Forest.

"Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris" will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Dec. 5.
