Those who have been anticipating the big Faction Rally event for "Destiny 2" may have been disappointed when it did not happen. It has been revealed that the event will be delayed for a bit.

The reason for the delay
is that game developer Bungie has decided to make a few tweaks, specifically on what can be accessed with or without purchasing downloadable content (DLC). The "Curse of Osiris" DLC was dropped last week and players discovered that the developer had limited some of the content that already exists within the game.

Simply put, some activities that players easily accessed before now required them to purchase the DLC. There is an upside though; Bungie will be implementing a fix that will make all the events with time limits, like Iron Banner and Faction Rally, available for everyone.

This, however, resulted in the postponing of the Faction Rally, which was supposed to begin on Dec. 12. Bungie revealed that these changes are necessary to make sure that everyone can get access to the activities along with the fitting awards.

The rewards that were offered through Iron Banner and Faction Rally events during the first season will thankfully be still available to everyone. But, only those who purchased "Curse of Osiris" will be able to get their hands on seasonal rewards like armor ornaments and other similar items.

The new start date for the Faction Rally event has yet to be determined, so players will just have to keep tabs on what is going on.

Meanwhile, those who may have found an issue with the Prometheus Lens rifle in "Destiny 2" will be in for a treat this week as Bungie revealed in a blog update that a fix for this buggy weapon would be included in the patch update 1.1.1.

"The weapon shipped with a bug, which we intend to fix with Destiny Update 1.1.1, along with everything else in the December update. Until then, please go easy on the players who have yet to get their hands on one," said senior gameplay designer Jon Weisnewski.
