Many "Destiny 2" players are expecting for a huge game update coming this week, which is supposed to deliver new features and bring much-needed improvements in the equipment mod system. Unfortunately, the players will have to wait a little longer as Bungie announced that some of these anticipated system updates will be delayed.

As reported by Eurogamer, the "Destiny 2" 1.1.3 update was supposed to go live starting this week, which would include the features that players have long been asking to see in the game. These additional features are exotic repetition reduction, companion vendor viewing and the nightfall unique rewards. The additional game features will be included in the 1.1.4 update instead, which will be out on March 27.

Bungie particularly explained their side in having to delay the nightfall unique rewards that were supposed to drop this week, along with the Nightfall scoring. The game studio revealed in a latest blog post that the delay is needed to give the artists more time as they have not expected that the design would take longer to finish.

"With today's update we've moved a few items out to later releases — this is because we are trying to ensure each feature we add hits a sufficiently high quality bar," Bungie executive Christopher Barrett stated on Bungie.net. "They have to be super cool, so we're giving the artists extra time to make sure they are ... super cool."

Meanwhile, the delayed features in the 1.1.3 update of "Destiny 2" caused some sort of domino effect, as those system improvements expected to launch on March 27 will be moved to a later date. The expected updates such as armour sandbox and exotic weapon enhancements will be released in May. This will coincide with Bungie's original plan for the major 1.2.0 patch update to implement the Exotic changes, as well as the launch of season 3. Players can also expect other exciting features such as increased Vault space, private matches and the new Prestige mode.

For now, "Destiny 2" players can enjoy the Faction Rally on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platform. This game event will give new weapons to the winning faction.
