Despite announcing the Leviathan Prestige Raid a few weeks ago, video game developers Bungie will be postponing the event for "Destiny 2." This is due to some bugs the developers have found that may make it easy for "Destiny 2" players easy to exploit, which may result in a gear and equipment imbalance when it comes to the in-game loot.

In a report by IGN, Bungie explained through the official "Destiny 2" forum that they have found that enemy encounters are currently more frequent than intended, increasing the chances of loot drops per instance. Furthermore, if a team were able to complete the raid much earlier, then the reputation of the game could possibly be ruined. This is a risk the developers cannot afford since they have just launched the game back in September.

The number of enemies were not the only issue with the upcoming raid, but the difficulty fell short in the eyes of the developers as well. In a report by Gamespot, Bungie stated that what made the Leviathan Raid special in the first place was that it was intended to present a significant challenge for teams. The difficulty perhaps pertained to the boss of the raid, Calus. One of the bugs would have potentially made the boss fight controversially underwhelming.

In a report by Bleeding Cool, the Leviathan Prestige Raid will grant players a good amount of new content and the exclusive "Destiny 2" Iron Banner, which is the first one in the sequel. In addition, players will be rewarded with the Iron Banner armor set upon completing this achievement. These items are anticipated to be highly coveted in the game, in terms of cosmetic vanity and value.

The silver lining that fans can take away from the postponement of the raid is the extra time to prepare for a more challenging experience. Since the event will be a team challenge, players will need to work on their coordination and their communication abilities in overcoming challenging battles.

The Leviathan Prestige Raid for "Destiny 2" will be released on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. EDT.
